Terms of service

Last updated 20 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy a service from NearbyBoost. They are written to be read. The written plan we email you before starting forms part of our agreement, and if it conflicts with these terms, the plan wins.

1. How we communicate

All communication is by email at [email protected]. An agreement is made when you reply to our written plan to confirm you want to go ahead.

2. What we do

We deliver the work described on our pricing page and in your written plan. If you ask for something outside that, we will quote it by email before doing it.

3. Access

You give us the access we need, for example Manager access to your Google Business Profile. We use it only for the agreed work. You can remove it at any time, and we will remove ourselves when the work ends unless you are on Care. You are responsible for keeping owner-level access to your own accounts.

4. No guarantees on rankings or AI mentions

Google, Bing, Apple and AI assistants decide their own results, and they change often. We do not guarantee any ranking position, traffic, number of enquiries or AI mention. We do guarantee to do the agreed work carefully and to report honestly on what changed.

5. Approval of public content

Posts, review replies and automated messages that speak in your name are sent to you for approval first, unless you tell us in writing that a particular automation may send on its own. You remain responsible for what is published on your behalf once approved.

6. Payment

  • One-off work is invoiced when it is delivered. Automations are invoiced once they are live and you have seen them working.
  • Invoices are payable by bank transfer within 7 days.
  • Care is invoiced at the end of each month it is active.
  • If an invoice is unpaid 14 days after it is due, we may pause Care and any automations we host until it is settled.

7. Care: cancelling

Care has no minimum term. Email us to cancel and it ends at the end of that calendar month. Automations we host stop at the same time, unless you ask us to hand them over for you to run yourself, which we will do free of charge.

8. Who owns what

You own your accounts, your content, and everything we create for you once it is paid for, including written copy, photos you supply, review materials and the setup of your automations.

9. If something goes wrong

If you are unhappy with the work, tell us by email within 14 days of delivery and we will put it right. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights.

10. Third-party services

Our work relies on services run by others, such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, Cloudflare and Anthropic. We are not responsible for their outages, policy changes or decisions, such as a platform suspending a listing, though we will help you deal with them.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
